The Black Dolphin - Russia

The black dolphin is the toughest jail in Russia. The inmates have a great treatment there.

Black Dolphin is located near the Kazakhstan border. It gets its informal name from the statue out front, made by the prisoners themselves.

The prison houses around 700 prisoners, which include serial killers and terrorists.

 Prison guards place blindfolds on arriving prisoners so that they can not map out the prison or plan escapes. Prisoners are also blindfolded whenever they are transported between buildings.

Also, the guards carry prisoners in a unique way. The prisoners are forced to bend at the waist level. This position allows for the maximum control over the prisoners.

The cell is situated inside three-layered steel chamber. Thus, the inmates live in a cell inside a cell.The 50 square feet cell is shared by two prisoners.

There is no yard for exercise. Prisoners have to move forth and back in the prison itself.It does have a cafetaria. The guards give food to the prisoners in the cell.

No prisoner has ever escaped the Black Dolphin Prison
